Synopsis
A Palestinian mother-to-be in the Netherlands grapples with emotional and physical challenges during pregnancy. Through personal reflections, she confronts pain, uncertainty, fear of bodily changes, and an identity crisis, all while challenging societal norms around motherhood. Torn between her struggles and the devastation in Gaza, she feels guilt and shame, questioning her right to feel pain and wrestling with her privilege while others endure unimaginable suffering.

Biography
Sabrine Khoury is a palestinian filmmaker and producer based in the Netherlands. Co-founder of NAWL, a creative house for art and production. Through film, writing, and photography, she explores themes of motherhood, identity, and migration.
Her latest short, THE MIRACLE OF LIFE (2025), is touring international festivals including Galway Film Fleadh (Best Documentary), Beirut International Women Film Festival, and IFF Integrazione (Best Documentary and Audience Award).
Her earlier films include SANTÉ, screened at Cinemed Montpellier, IFVA Hong Kong (Special Mention), and others.
