Synopsis
After finding out that their father left a huge sum of money behind after his will, Mariam and Noura are confronted with the injustice of Islamic law when they are forced to share their father's property with their estranged brother. They quickly come up with an elaborate scheme to abscond with the money before their brother learns about their father's death.

Biography
Laila Abbas is a Palestinian filmmaker who studied cinema and TV production at Royal Holloway University in the UK. She made her first three short films between 2010 and 2012, followed by her feature documentary Ice & Dust (2014) about a young Palestinian woman who crosses the Atlantic ocean to search for a better life in Canada.
In 2016 and 2017, she wrote and directed two more short films. She worked as an academic teaching cinema at several Palestinian universities before becoming the head programmer of Palestine Cinema Days for several years.
In 2019, she was selected for Berlin Film Festival’s Berlinale Talents program to nurture emerging filmmakers.
Laila's debut feature narrative film, Thank You for Banking with Us!, was released in October 2024 and won several awards.
