Biography
Nidal Badarny is a Palestinian actor, playwright, director, and stand-up comedian, known for his significant contributions to Arab theater and Palestinian cinema. Hailing from the town of Arraba in Palestine, he earned his bachelor’s degree in theater and acting from the University of Haifa in 2009 and a diploma in film directing in 2014.
Badarny has worked on numerous theatrical productions exploring themes of identity, resistance, and social issues, and his performances and writings have resonated deeply with audiences, showcasing his talent for blending humor, drama, and cultural narratives. He has founded and co-founded several significant film and theater initiatives within the Palestinian minority in the 1948 territories, including Elsharea Theater Group (2009), The Comedy Trio (2012), and El Manshar Art and Production (2013).
At El Manshar, he served as art director for numerous independent theatrical productions and directed two documentary films, 30 of March and Waiting for Farajallah, as well as the short comedy Villagers.
