Mustafa and his wife Salwa live 200 meters apart in villages separated by the wall. One day he gets a call every parent dreads: his son has had an accident. Rushing to cross the Israeli checkpoint, Mustafa is denied on a technicality. But a father’s love won't give up and he will do anything to reach his son. A 200 meter distance becomes a 200 kilometer odyssey, as Mustafa, left with no choice, attempts to smuggle himself to the other side of the wall. The film had its world premiere at the 17th 2020 Giornate degli Autori (Venice Days) and it won the BNL People's Choice Award. It has received a total of 27 International awards, including three awards at the El Gouna Film Festival, where the film was screened as part of the official competition for feature narrative which brought Ali Suliman El Gouna Star for Best Actor. The film also scooped the festival’s Audience Award for a film exemplifying humanitarian themes and the FIPRESCI Award. 200 meters was Jordan’s official submission for the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

The Teacher is Farah’s multi-award-winning directorial fiction feature length film debut, which had its World premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. It had its MENA premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and took home the best actor award and the main jury prize. The jury was headed by director Baz Luhrmann. The film stars well-known 6 Saleh Bakri and well-known British actress Imogen Poots.

From Ground Zero is a compelling project that brings together 22 short films created by talented filmmakers from Gaza. Launched by Rashid Masharawi, a renowned Palestinian filmmaker, and organized by the Mashawari Fund for films and filmmakers in Gaza, the initiative was born against the backdrop of conflict and aims to provide a platform for young artists to express themselves through their craft. Each film, ranging in length from 3 to 6 minutes, presents a unique perspective on the current reality in Gaza. The project captures the diverse experiences of life in the Palestinian enclave, including the challenges, tragedies and moments of resilience faced by its people. Using a mix of genres including fiction, documentary, docu-fiction, animation and experimental cinema, From Ground Zero presents a rich diversity of stories that reflect the sorrow, joy and hope inherent in Gazan life. Despite the harsh filming conditions, Gaza’s vibrant artistic scene shines through this collection, offering an intimate and powerful portrait of daily life and the enduring spirit of its people. From Ground Zero marked its official world premiere at the Amman International Film Festival. The project was initially expected to be shown at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, but was then pulled. Masharawi then led a protest screening in the French resort town with no official backing from Cannes.

The film received several awards, such as the Best Documentary Award at the BFI and the Jury Prize at the Marrakech International Film Festival. Bye Bye Tiberias was chosen to represent Palestine at the Oscars 2024 and was nominated in the Best Documentary category at the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Abu Shadi is a divorced father and a schoolteacher in his mid-sixties living in Nazareth. After his daughter’s wedding in one month, he will be living alone. Shadi, his architect son, arrives from Rome after years abroad to help his father deliver the wedding invitations to each guest by hand, as per local Palestinian custom. As the estranged pair spend the day together, the tense details of their relationship come to a head, challenging their fragile and very different lives. Wajib (2017) premiered in Locarno in 2017. It was also Palestine’s Oscar Entry for the Best Foreign Language Film that year, and since then has been released around the world and won 36 international awards, including Best Film in Mar Del Plata, Dubai, Amiens, DC Film Festival and Kerala and jury mention at the London BFI Festival.

A story of a city that once connected Palestine to the world — what it once was, what it is now, and what it could have become. From the perspective of the city herself, voiced by Palestinian actress Maisa Abd Elhadi, the viewer is guided through the lifespan of a five-thousand-year-old city and its residents. For Palestinians, Lyd’s story is a painful and tragic fall from grace, which is why the film dares to ask the question: what would the city be like had the Israeli occupation of Lyd never happened? Lyd premiered at the Amman International Film Festival, where it won the Jury Award and the International Film Critics Award (FIPRESCI) for Best Documentary. It has also won the Best Asian Feature Award in the Pramana Asian Film Festival.

He develops a close relationship with his neighbor (a small- time crook) with an ulterior plot in mind. While the scheme turns into an unexpected friendship between the two men, it leads them into a journey of dark encounters. The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival on 25 May 2022, where it won the best screenplay award. It was Palestine’s entry for Best International Feature at the 2023 Academy Awards.

The Seven Waves is a testimony of love dedicated to the sea of Gaza, its stories, myths, and heroes. In two parallel timelines, the film follows the journey of a Palestinian rowing champion striving to achieve her dream and the story of a fisherman and marine rescuer who has spent his life by the Gaza Sea. Inspired by a popular myth in Gaza, The Seven Waves weaves together stories and dreams of a besieged sea, filled with life and hope. The film was produced and shot prior to the ongoing genocide that started in October 2023.

In Tomorrow’s Freedom, made over the course of 5 years, filmmaking sisters Georgia and Sophia Scott gain intimate access to the family of imprisoned Palestinian political leader and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Marwan Barghouthi, who is serving five life sentences in an Israeli prison. Through the Barghouthi family and a collage of in-depth interviews from the people who know Marwan best, Tomorrow’s Freedom takes you on a brutally honest and transformative journey into the heart of the Israel Palestine conflict, speaking to Palestinians and Israelis. Tomorrow’s Freedom took center stage at the 2022 Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC) in Sarajevo, and as Edhem Foco, the director of the festival, said: "It's a compelling narrative, crafted not by Arabs or Palestinians, but by British women.” It formed part of the Official Selection of the 2022 Sheffield DocFest.

A World Not Ours is an intimate, humorous portrait of three generations of exile in the refugee camp of Ain el-Helweh, in southern Lebanon. Based on a wealth of personal recordings, family archives, and historical footage, the film is a sensitive and illuminating study of belonging, friendship, and family. The film was part of the Official Selection for the 2013 Berlin International Film Festival and won the Peace Film Prize. It has received over 30 awards including the Edinburgh, Yamagata and DOC NYC Grand Jury Prizes. Mahdi was named Best New Nordic Voice at Nordisk Panorama and received the New Talent Award at CPH:DOX in 2013.
