Lovely Butterfly is an experimental short film in which the director explores her conflicting emotions toward her father, who is imprisoned in Israeli jails for 20 years. The film examines memory, death, and absence using the camera and archival materials as tools to understand the psychological distance between herself and her father. It attempts to deconstruct the emotional impact of his absence and open a dialogue with him through his old letters and digital map searches.
