Synopsis

A Palestinian pirate captain traveling on her ghost ship through the centuries, rescuing shipwrecked people and boarding imperial vessels to reclaim looted colonial artefacts; a merchant bound for the 1900 Paris Exposition having encounters with ghostly figures that share insight into a future he has yet to see; a film connecting cherished objects from Palestine with personal life stories. Larissa Sansour’s A Sunken Tale of Losses Delayed challenges our perceptions of physical space, temporality, objects, history, and all their interconnections.
