Athens Palestine Film Festival (APFF)
Athens Palestine Film Festival (APFF) is an annual cultural event presented by Dounias, dedicated to showcasing the cinematic richness, artistic innovation, and diverse voices of Palestine. With an expertly curated programme spanning documentaries, fiction features, experimental works and shorts by both emerging and established filmmakers, APFF offers audiences in Greece an authentic, independent perspectives rooted in Palestinian history, identity, memory and lived experience. Alongside screenings, the Festival creates immersive spaces for engagement: post-screening conversations, artist talks, workshops and panel discussions. Through partnerships with major cultural institutions, APFF serves as a bridge between Palestine and the different Greek communities amplifying counternarratives, cultivating creative dialogue, and fostering unity.

APFF 2026
The Athens Palestine Film Festival (APFF) is back from 15 to 31 October 2026 for its fifth year!
Get ready for a dynamic lineup of powerful Palestinian films and stories, right in the heart of Athens. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of Palestinian cinema, culture, and voices through screenings, discussions, and special events!

This year, the festival will focus on the notion “Nothing comes from nothing”. Every story, image, narrative and action carries traces of what came before it; histories, experiences, memories and voices passed from one generation to the next. We will look at archives as living spaces where memory is preserved, questioned and transformed, while exploring what remains, what is forgotten, and how the stories we inherit continue to shape who we are today.
